Eyeglass Prescription Policy

For prescriptions we fill written by doctors at Family Vision Center

An office visit to recheck the prescription will be provided and new lenses will be made at no charge within 60 days of dispensing if there is meaningful change in the prescription. Re-check visits after 60 days will be charged $45.00.

For prescriptions we fill written by other doctors

Eyeglass lenses will be re-made one time at no charge if the prescribing doctor provides a new prescription in writing with a meaningful change within 60 days of dispensing. Rx changes after one free remake or after 60 days will be charged the usual lens price.

For Family Vision Center prescriptions that are filled elsewhere

There is a $45.00 charge for our Florida Licensed Opticians to verify that eyewear purchased elsewhere meets the prescription, measurement, and fitting requirements.

There is a $45.00 charge if the eyewear meets these requirements and you need to see the doctor.

There will be no charge if the eyewear meets these requirements and there is meaningful change in the prescription.

If a lens prescription change is needed after glasses are made, we will not be responsible for any charges incurred. Most reputable optical dispensaries allow doctor Rx changes at no charge, but it is up to the patient to inquire about such policies in advance of purchase.

Frame Style Change

Frame style changes can be made within 30 days of picking up your eyewear. Lenses will be provided at 50% off normal retail cost. Any frame cost increase will be added to the lens cost. There is no credit for choosing a frame with a lower cost.
